Pelling Dreaming of a Green Christmas

Secretary of State, Hilary Benn MP, pictured, was in festive mood today at the Defra Christmas Market. In a move of which his father would be proud Mr Benn’s department sponsored the event at Vauxhaul’s New Covent Garden. I was keen to lend support to the project, and promptly ‘cadged’ a lift on the Departmental coach, where the Secretary of State and the Minister Jim Fitzpatrick, pictured on the home page, where already ensconced.
I was delighted to support the Defra Christmas Market with its emphasis on celebrating local British produce, and the environmental benefits of reducing food miles by shopping for home grown produce.
